Celebrating the Unveiling of the Rain Garden Sign

This past weekend marked a special milestone for our community as we officially unveiled the new Rain Garden Sign located in front of the Rain Garden at Maryboro Lodge.

The unveiling was more than simply the installation of a sign—it was the celebration of a shared vision, countless volunteer hours, and a collective commitment to environmental stewardship. The project was truly a collaborative effort and a labour of love, bringing together passionate individuals and organizations who believe in the importance of education, conservation, and community engagement.

We were delighted to welcome community members, supporters, volunteers, and partners who gathered to celebrate this achievement. Your presence made the occasion even more meaningful and demonstrated the growing interest in creating and protecting beautiful, sustainable green spaces within our community.

The rain garden itself has become a vibrant habitat filled with native plants that provide beauty throughout the seasons while supporting pollinators, birds, and other wildlife. With the addition of the interpretive sign, visitors now have an opportunity to learn more about the unique flora growing within the garden. The sign will help residents and visitors identify plant species, understand their ecological importance, and appreciate the role native plants play in managing stormwater and enhancing biodiversity.

Projects like this do not happen without dedication and teamwork. We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed their time, expertise, creativity, and energy to bring this project to life. From the initial planning and design stages to the planting, maintenance, and development of the educational signage, every contribution played an important role.
