Rain or Shine: A Blooming Success at the Fenelon Falls Horticultural Society Annual Plant Sale

The Fenelon Falls Horticultural Society’s Annual Plant Sale was once again a blooming success—despite the cool temperatures and a bit of rain! This much-loved event is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year, and it’s made possible thanks to the hard work and dedication of our amazing members and volunteers.

The effort begins well before sale day, with generous community members donating plants from their own gardens. Volunteers spend countless hours digging, dividing, potting, and labeling each plant, ensuring they’re healthy and ready for their new homes. As the big day approaches, more hands join in to help with setting up tents, tables, signage, and organizing the vibrant selection of greenery and flowers.

This year, the weather didn’t dampen spirits. Shoppers came out with umbrellas in hand, ready to browse the wide variety of plants while enjoying the music and local vendor booths. There was a real sense of community as people chatted, shared gardening tips, and supported our mission.

Funds raised from the plant sale go directly back into the community, helping us maintain and create beautiful public gardens throughout Fenelon Falls. These gardens not only brighten our town but also reflect the shared passion and commitment of our members.
